Linda Kyle:

How long have you been a NorthFit member?

About 15 months ago, I asked Coach Brady (my grandson) about the CrossFit senior class. I recently had back surgery and a total knee replacement, had neck and back pain for many years, and felt weak and tired. Brady encouraged me to stop into the gym to observe. I tried a few workouts before joining and decided to make it official in July 2018. I was the first female in this class at age 70!

What do you enjoy about coming to class?

The workouts are never boring, they are always different, and they are challenging. The movements are carefully explained and demonstrated. The coaches and support staff are kind and helpful. I feel like we have one on one attention because Coach Tyler observes and patiently advises each of us knowing our personal abilities or limitations. The music is pretty good too ;).

What were your goals when you started at NorthFit?

My goals at the beginning were to regain some strength, have more energy, improve balance, and have less pain. I can gratefully say these are all improved.

What are your goals now?

My goals are to maintain my progress, continue to improve, and hopefully inspire others to try this.

How as NorthFit impacted your life?

To me, NorthFit feels like a family, who welcomes and supports each other, as we struggle with our personal weaknesses or focus on our goals. NorthFit has impacted my life by helping me feel more in control and hopeful about my overall health.
